Princeton in Washington

PIW participants in front of the Capitol

Princeton in Washington brings together students and alumni in the Washington, D.C. area over the summer for speaker and panel discussions, social events and more.

Participants have an opportunity to meet high-profile alumni and professionals, explore careers in public service, connect with peers and learn about opportunities in politics, law, nonprofit, arts and more.

The program is open to all undergraduate and graduate students, as well as young alumni. There is no application process; however, all participants must RSVP to attend programs and can do so only by signing up to be on the PIW mailing list.

Princeton in Washington is sponsored by the Center for Career Development with support from the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs, the Office of Government Affairs and the Princeton Club of Washington, D.C.

PIW 2025 Student Coordinator

"I’m really looking forward to meeting so many people within the Princeton community, from seasoned high-profile alumni to students in their very first internship.

If you’re going to be in D.C. this summer, I hope that you’ll join the PIW community! Our events are amazing opportunities for professional development and career exploration, all while offering a built-in social network to explore the diverse natural, cultural and artistic offerings of the nation’s capital. In the midst of a constantly changing climate in D.C. and across the world, it is especially important that we continue together and not alone. "
