He advises students interested in all career fields, and in particular enjoys speaking with students about STEM careers.
Liaison to: Civil & environmental engineering, ecology and evolutionary biology, geosciences and molecular biology.
A fun fact about me is: I’ve explored the Costa Rican rainforest, Kenyan savanna and Arizonan desert when traveling to carry out ecological research as a student.
An experiential opportunity that helped shape my career path: Being an Assistant in Instruction at Princeton. By mentoring creative student projects like studying the food color preferences of campus squirrels, I was inspired to seek a career focused on helping students pursue their interests.
My first job after graduation: Teaching high school biology and environmental science. I enjoyed encouraging students to figure out what engaged them in science regardless of their preferred subjects.
I’m passionate about: Video games. I love all things Nintendo, PlayStation, and PC. I was fortunate enough to attend a day of League of Legends World Championship games when they came to New York City in 2022!
One skill I would like to master: Creative writing. I took a playwriting class in college and delved into novel writing when undergoing a career shift. It takes much more commitment and practice than I thought – a challenge that makes me want to keep at it.
