Liaison to: Athletics, Whitman College and the following academic departments: anthropology, classics, economics, French & Italian, psychology, Slavic languages and literature and sociology.
A fun fact about me: I conducted research and dove (scuba) with the wild spotted dolphins on a one-week boat trip in the Bahamas.
My favorite part of my job is: Seeing the "aha" moment when students see the connection between their experiences and strengths and the job or internship that they are applying for.
An opportunity that helped shape my career path: I worked in human resources roles in diverse corporate organizations, which has given me insights to help students understand the recruiting process and better prepare them for their search.
I'm passionate about: Helping students connect their values, interests, skills and strengths to the work that is meaningful for them.
I wish more students knew the Center for Career Development offered: Someone to partner with on their exploration and searches - someone to support them as they engage in the career exploration process and their ongoing search.
Some small things that make my day better are: French press coffee, walking five miles a day and speaking to my daughter to share daily highlights.
