Jennifer is working on planning, implementing and managing content for a new website for Office of the Vice President for Campus Life focused on helping students connect with resources and opportunities at Princeton to assist them in the discovery and pursuit of meaningful career paths.
A fun fact about me is: I danced in The Nutcracker with the New York Metropolitan Ballet Company twice when I was younger.
An internship/experiential opportunity that helped shape my career path: I was torn between journalism and education in college, and to help me figure things out, I interned at the Raleigh News & Observer in North Carolina one summer. Assigned mostly office duties, the editor asked me to write three community pieces. I fell in love with writing and the process that summer and knew it would become my career. The best part is, now I’m able to use my writing skills and help students figure out their career path, combining both of my passions.
If I weren’t doing this job, I’d be: A residential architect who offers interior design services, as well. I love old houses and old structures, in general. I especially love seeing old houses and old furniture brought back to life.
Some small things that make my day better are: Four small things, my four children, but not all of them are so small anymore – Emily, Henry, Patrick, and Grace. They make me smile every day!
I could give a 40-minute presentation with absolutely no preparation on: How to pick and eat a blue crab using only a butter knife. No mallet needed.
