A fun fact about me is: I was an avid comic book collector as a child and I have a wide range of Marvel (particularly X-Men and Avengers) and DC books. I am a huge fan of all the movies and television shows that are based on comic book characters!
An internship/experiential opportunity that helped shape my career path: During my time at the University of Georgia, I was a student worker in the Office of Minority Services and Programs (now called the Office of Multicultural Services and Programs). Once I joined this office, it started a whole new chapter for me during my time at the university. I became a different person that not only was motivated to get more involved in various organizations on campus but I also embraced more leadership roles as well. I did not realize at the time but working in this office started my love and affection for having a career in higher education!
If I weren’t doing this job, I’d be: A television and film director/producer/writer! I majored in television and film with the desire to become the next Spike Lee and Steven Spielberg.
I'm passionate about: Helping students. I truly feel that is my life’s mission to pour into students the exact same way that I was poured into when I was a college student. I enjoy the work that I do so much because I feel that I am making a difference in the lives of others
The place I grew up is special because: It is very quiet and peaceful. I grew up in a small town called Hephzibah, GA, which is right outside of Augusta, GA. My parents have a huge yard in which there were blackberry bushes, plum trees and scuppernong (muscadine) vines. There was not a lot of traffic nor was there the typical noises that you hear in the city. I am a country boy at heart and I love the simple things in life!
