Let's face it - seeing what's out there in the real world and getting hands-on work experience while you're at Princeton is tough. That's why we created Princeternship.
Applications are now open for the Princeternship, which offers undergraduate students the chance to explore career fields and make connections with alumni and employers without the commitment of an internship or job.
Held during Reading Period (Jan. 6-10, 2020) and Intersession (Jan. 27-31, 2019), students are paired with alumni for job shadowing and project experience over one to five days. There are over 150 positions available with 66 different organizations during Princeternship, including opportunities in arts, culture, media and entertainment; business; law; social impact; and engineering, healthcare, science and tech.
Participants will have the opportunity to get to know the career path of their alum host, learn more about different fields and potentially get tangible project experience. Princeternships span a wide range of geographical locations with flexibility for other dates in January depending on host availability.
The deadline to apply for a Princeternship is Sunday, Nov. 3.
Undergraduate students of all years are eligible to apply, and if selected, will receive an email with instructions to sign up for an interview slot through Handshake.
The Scholars Institute Fellows Program (SIFP) is providing financial assistance for Princeternships to students who qualify for Princeton University’s financial aid program and are part of the SIFP program. Visit the SIFP site for more details. If you have additional questions about funding, please email email@example.com.
