Event Description

You've probably heard that networking is essential to a successful job search. In fact, the U.S. Bureau of Labor and Statistics reports that 85% of jobs are filled via networking. So, what is networking, and how do you do it?

Partnering with Johnson & Johnson and grad alum, Maddie Lu '09, *13, this interactive cohort group will help you learn networking strategies to build and nurture your professional network for your career success. All cohort program participants will have the opportunity to visit Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of J&J in person to make connections and learn about possible career opportunities there.

This cohort program is open to Ph.D. students in sciences and engineering.

All participants will be asked to commit to attending all three sessions:
- Virtual cohort session: Tuesday, Oct. 11 from 12-1 p.m.
- J&J site visit session: Tuesday, Oct. 18 from 12-4:30 p.m.
- Virtual cohort session: Tuesday, Oct. 25 from 12-1 p.m.

Please register by Friday, September 30; space is limited.

Participants who complete the registration survey will receive additional details about the program (e.g., a Zoom link, J&J site visit information).

This cohort program is co-sponsored by Johnson & Johnson Women in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, Manufacturing, and Design (WiSTEM2D).

Email Satomi Chudasama ([email protected]) to request accommodations for this event at least 15 working days in advance.
