Event Description

As 20-year veteran of the finance industry and an out bisexual man, Chuck Rozakis ’03 discusses the ins and outs of being an openly queer person in the workplace, and how they have changed over the course of his two-decade career.

He’ll provide advice for navigating a career in finance, finding queer resources, how to network and what to look for from employers. He’ll also discuss the current opportunities from Lord Abbett for anyone interested in pursuing them.

Speaker Bio

Chuck Rozakis ’03 majored in economics and started his 19-year tenure with Lord, Abbett and Company shortly thereafter. As an undergrad, Chuck sang acappella with both the FireHazards and Koleinu; performed with the Princeton University Players and Theatre-Intime; wrote for Distractions Puzzle Magazine; DJ’d at WPRB; and was a percussionist for the Princeton University Band. Chuck attended NYU-Stern as a part-time student and earned a Masters of Business Administration in 2012. Chuck started his career at Lord Abbett as a junior equity research analyst for the mid-cap growth equity team, and has subsequently worked on the fundamental equity research, equity administration, and most recently equity quantitative research teams. In that time, he’s accumulated a deep knowledge of equity investments and expertise in analytics and reporting practices. In recognition for his contributions, Chuck received Lord Abbett’s Circle of Excellence award in 2022. Chuck is a founding member of Knights Out, Lord Abbett’s LGBTQ+ inclusion network.
