Between classes, teaching, and research, it’s easy to get caught up in the whirlwind of Princeton - leaving little room to think about your strengths and career goals. Figuring out what comes after graduate school can be stressful and hard.
However, for graduate students who identify as Black, Indigenous, or a Person of Color (BIPOC), the process can be even more complicated due to unique challenges such as structural inequities and implicit bias despite unique assets and strengths they bring throughout their careers.
If you find yourself feeling lost, overwhelmed, or uncertain about how to even begin thinking about or exploring your career options, you’re not alone.
This cohort group will provide a supportive space to help you explore options and figure out what you want to do — not just what you feel pressured to do — in a mindful and balanced way that promotes your well-being. It is open to BIPOC graduate students of all levels and interests.
The group will be small and meetings will be interactive and discussion-based. Participants will be asked to commit to attending all four weekly sessions:
- Thurs., October 6 from 12-1:30 p.m. EST
- Thurs., October 13 from 12-1:30 p.m. EST
- Thurs., October 20 from 12-1:30 p.m. EST
- Thurs., October 27 from 12-1:30 p.m. EST
*Participants who complete the registration survey will receive the book, Designing Your Life by Bill Burnett and Dave Evans, which will be used to guide our career exploration process.
