With years of experience in government while serving under several administrations, Chris Lu '88 and Lisa Brown '82 will share about their careers and what their years of service have meant to them.
Appointed by President Biden in 2021, Mr. Lu is the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations for Management and Reform within the U.S. Department of State. Prior to this position, he served as the U.S. Deputy Secretary of Labor from 2014 and 2017 and as White House Cabinet Secretary and Assistant to the President from 2009 to 2013.
Lisa Brown '82 was appointed by President Biden as the current General Counsel at the U.S. Department of Education. She is also the Vice President and General Counsel of Georgetown University. Previously, Ms. Brown served under the Obama and Clinton administration, acting as Assistant to President Obama and Staff Secretary and Counsel to Vice President Gore among several other positions.
