The U.S. is now running the largest fiscal deficits as a share of GDP outside of recessions since World War II. How and why is this borrowing being financed, and how much more room to run does this dynamic have? Understanding the limits of expansionary fiscal policies will be critical for investors, as reaching those limits will drive key turning points in economies and markets.
Bridgewater’s Head of Cross-Asset Strategies, Alex Schiller, will be leading the keynote talk on this topic. Alex will be sharing a sample of research from a recent summit that Bridgewater hosted for the Chief Investment Officers of our largest clients—sovereign wealth funds, university endowments, national pension programs, and other institutional investors.
The event is open to all students and will take place in Robertson Hall, Room 016. Please RSVP by 11/6. Seats are on a first-come, first-served basis. The event will be followed by a reception in the Bernstein Gallery.
