In your academic job search, you should be prepared to clearly articulate your experience and interest in teaching, whether teaching will be a core element of your work or not. In this session you will learn how to structure a teaching statement and reflect on your own teaching philosophy. Special consideration will be given to math, engineering and the natural sciences.
This workshop is part of the Academic Job Search Bootcamp, a series of programs covering the essentials of how to prepare for an academic job search. This is intended for Ph.D. students considering applying for academic jobs in fall 2025 though is open to graduate students of all years and disciplines.
