    Alum and conductor Ryan Brandau ‘03 will lead a discussion with four professional singers from the worlds of opera, classical and experimental music. Their careers have included singing opera roles and concertizing, founding and leading vocal ensembles and opera companies, and recording, composing and commissioning.

  • Creating a Design Business with Isometric Studio

    The partners at Isometric Studio will provide behind the scenes insights about how they started and are sustaining their business (particularly given the recent challenge of COVID-19), and through case studies, will relate the challenges and opportunities associated with arts entrepreneurship.  

    The leaders will then guide the participants through the process of creating a mind map, starting from where they are today to the work or career they would ideally like to have, leveraging the group’s insights on the best way to help people achieve their goals.

    In the United States, most employers outside of academia use a resume, which is a one or two-page document that highlights relevant skills and experiences to demonstrate your qualifications to a particular job of interest.

    These will include a framework for assessing your own artistic practice as an act of entrepreneurship, a method for evaluating the business landscape within which your art exists, and an approach to create strategies for effective action, communication, and positioning within the arts and business ecosystem.
