  • Fall City Trek Application Deadline

    City Treks is a career exploration program that offers undergraduate and graduate students the unique opportunity to investigate a career field of interest and make professional connections by spending time with alumni and employers in their workplaces during academic breaks.

    Fall City Treks will take place in New York City on the Friday of fall recess. The Center for Career Development will provide transportation. Learn about the participating organizations and how to apply.

    The Center for Career Development will be offering 15-minute drop-in sessions for undergraduate students between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, from Sept. 9-20.   

    Common questions covered during drop-in sessions include:
    • Resume and cover letter reviews
    • Job/internship/fellowship application help
    • Questions about networking strategies and how to contact alumni
    • LinkedIn profile help
    • Preparing for campus recruiting, career fairs and Meetups

    Job applications are just around the corner. Whether you are preparing for the academic market, market beyond the academy or both, get an early start crafting your job application documents in a supportive and creative environment.

    Come for a quiet working area or to workshop your writing with other graduate students - this time is for you to make regular writing progress to avoid a stressful fall. It is easier when you are not alone!

    Snacks, coffee and drinks will be provided. Resources and support with be available from Career Services and the Graduate School.
